The Landmark Plaza was developed as a joint project with the Daly City Redevelopment Agency. In developing the project, CHS faced the arduous challenge of a long, narrow, and steep slope. CHS took advantage of the unique landscape by fitting parking garages into the hill while placing the residential units on the podium above. To balance the space and comfort on the 1.37 acre site, CHS constructed several separate buildings on top of the podium for a total of 95 units, each with spacious living areas. Despite the challenge of the terrain, CHS was able to maximize the value for commercial, living, and working areas.
Located between Hillside Boulevard and Mission Street, the site is 700ft. in length, 90-110ft. in width, and has a grade difference of roughly 35ft. The Landmark Plaza features 95 units and 400 parking spaces, spread over roughly 20,000 square feet.
