Chi-Hwa Shao: Chairman and CEO
Chi Hwa Shao founded the business in 1991 and has overseen its operations since. Chi Hwa holds a Business Degree from the California State University at San Francisco, is a Licensee of the California Bureau of Real Estate and the Qualifier of the Corporation for its Contractor’s License from the California State Contractor’s License Board. Chi Hwa specializes in both domestic and international finance, project identification, project construction and the firm’s marketing efforts. Chi Hwa has and continues to serve as a Director and Trustee of several non-profit agencies and companies. Chi Hwa is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and the dialects of Taiwan.
Mark Haesloop: Vice President and General Counsel
Mark is a Graduate of Providence College (BA) and has a law Degree from the University of California (Hastings). He is admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court, the US District and Court of Appeal (California and Illinois) and California State Courts. He has served on the Adjunct Faculty of the Graduate School of Business of Notre Dame de Namur University. He appointed and served nine and a half years on the San Carlos Planning Commission. He has also served on numerous Non-Profit agency and Corporation Boards especially related to Affordable Senior Housing and Parks. Mark has been with CHS since 2000 serving as it General Counsel and responsible for land-use and environmental matters, business formation, contracts, governmental affairs, corporate governance and labor relations. Mark speaks English, French and some Italian.
Vivian Shao: Vice President
Vivian is a graduate of Boston University and holds a degree in Economics (BA). She is also a licensee of the California Bureau of Real Estate and a member of the California Association of Community Managers. After working 4 years at a major credit card company in New York City, she has taken her experience in the controls and compliance, marketing and risk mitigation space here to CHS. Vivian currently heads the firm's marketing and property management efforts, while dabbling in the property flipping sector. Vivian speaks English and is proficient in Mandarin and Spanish.
